Terms of Service

These are the terms for using this site — the tip calculators, the tipping guides and statistics, the blog, and Early Access signup. They describe only what the site actually does today.

Last updated: September 7, 2026

What tippos is

tippos publishes free tip calculators, tipping guides and sourced U.S. tipping statistics. Every calculator shows a usual range drawn from named, cited sources; it never tells you what to tip. The final amount, and whether to tip at all, is always your decision.

Using the site

The site and its content are provided as-is, for informational and personal use. You may not copy, resell, or republish the calculators, guides, statistics or blog content without permission, and you may not use automated tools to scrape or overload the site.

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax or employment advice. Tipping norms vary by location, establishment and situation; treat every figure as a starting point, not a rule.

Accuracy of information

Figures on this site are drawn from named third-party sources (for example Pew Research Center, Bankrate, Toast, the U.S. Department of Labor and the Emily Post Institute) and reviewed periodically. tippos does not guarantee that any figure is current, complete or correct for your specific situation, and is not responsible for decisions made using it.

Early Access

Signing up for Early Access registers your interest in tippos's future digital tipping product. It is not a purchase, a contract, or a guarantee of access, pricing or launch date.

Changes

These terms may change as the site and product evolve. The date above shows when they were last updated.
